Identify the Samsung INR18650-25R

This rechargeable Samsung cell carries the INR18650-25R reference. Sold individually, it has a nominal capacity of 2500 mAh. Keep the complete model name when looking up specifications, because the 18650 format alone does not define a battery’s electrical limits.

A maximum continuous current of 20 A

The Samsung technical document sets the maximum continuous discharge at 20 A under its test conditions. This rating must not be confused with a peak current figure. Check that your equipment meets the cell’s operating requirements and includes the necessary protection systems.

The specified charge voltage is 4.2 V. Use a charger suitable for lithium-ion cells and follow its manual. Before insertion, check terminal orientation and the condition of the insulating sleeve. A torn sleeve or deformed casing means the cell must be taken out of use.

Carry the battery separately from metal objects

Keep the cell in an insulating case when it is not installed. Its terminals must not touch coins, keys or other conductive items, whether in a bag or a pocket.
