Electrical ratings of the X Power 5000 mAh

This X Power version uses the 21700 format. Its stated capacity is 5000 mAh, its nominal voltage is 3.7 V and its continuous discharge current is 20 A. These three specifications describe different things: available charge, reference voltage and allowable continuous current.

When choosing a battery, compare these ratings with your device requirements. Capacity is not permission to increase the power setting. Operation must stay within both the device and cell limits, even when the compartment accepts the 21700 format.

A flat positive contact

The cell carries the INR chemistry designation and has a flat positive terminal, also called Flat Top. Check that your battery compartment expects this contact type. Follow the polarity marks when installing it and use suitable charging equipment.

Keep the supplied case

A plastic case and instructions are included. Use the case to store the cell outside your device and during transport, keeping its contacts away from metal objects. Never put the bare battery loose in a pocket.
