IC2: current selection and on-screen monitoring

The MPV IC2 holds two batteries in separately monitored slots. Its TFT screen displays charging progress. It uses USB-C power and comes with its cable.

Match charging to the battery

You can select a current of 0.5 A, 1 A or 2 A. Choose a value permitted by the cell manufacturer, without defaulting to the maximum. The USB power supply must also meet the requirements stated in the charger's manual.

Supported sizes include 18650 and 21700. Check the complete battery reference and its compatibility with the IC2 before insertion, then follow the polarity markings. The correct diameter alone is not enough to determine the appropriate program.

Measure with the correct mode

Alongside charging, the IC2 offers discharge and capacity test functions. Use them according to the procedure in its manual and distinguish the selected current from the measured capacity. These quantities describe different things.

Inspect the battery wraps before every cycle. Place the charger in a dry location, on an uncluttered surface, and keep the contacts clean. A damaged cell must not be charged.
